Jim Boyle Campership Fund

In memory of Jim Boyle, and funded by local donations, this scholarship program enables many Brooklyn children the opportunity to experience the fun and learning found in our summer day camp program that their families would otherwise not be able to afford.

Sponsorship Levels:

  • DIAMOND SPONSOR - $960 - Send a child to camp for the entire 6 weeks of Summer Day Camp!!  
  • PLATINUM SPONSOR - $480 - Send a child to camp for 3 weeks
  • GOLD SPONSOR - $320 - Send a child to camp for 2 weeks
  • SILVER SPONSOR - $160 - Send a child to camp for 1 week
  • BRONZE SPONSOR - $32 - Send a child to camp for 1 day

 



How to apply for a scholarship:

  • Complete Jim Boyle Campership Online Application
  • Submit the following:
    • 2023 Federal Tax Return from all household members
      • If you were NOT required to file a tax return, you will need to submit four (4) of your most recent pay stubs from all household members
    • Copy of photo ID
    • Two (2) pieces of postmarked mail in an envelope
    • Documentation that your child attends Brooklyn Public Schools (report card, school ID, letterhead mail).


Once reviewed, approval will be determined. Applicants will be contacted with an approved amount. You must be a resident of Brooklyn to apply.

All requests for financial assistance are subject to availability of funds.

Income Eligibility Guidelines are based upon the Federal Poverty Guidelines
2023 Federal Poverty Guidelines

  • Households with a gross income at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible to receive a fee waiver up to 80% of the program registration fee for all eligible programs.
  • Household with a gross income above 100% and up to 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible for a fee waiver up to 60%.
  • Household with a gross income above 125% and up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible for a fee waiver up to 40%.
  • Household with a gross income above 150% and up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible for a fee waiver up to 20%.
