The Brooklyn Agriculture Commission will provide a forum for agricultural producers, municipal officials, and other stakeholders to strengthen the farm-friendliness of the Town of Brooklyn. The Commission will encourage citizens to support farms by purchasing locally grown food, fiber, and forest products. This goal will be accomplished by communicating the benefits of local agriculture, supporting land preservation activities, and supporting agricultural businesses and farmers’ markets. The Commission will support town policies that keep Brooklyn’s farms and forests viable.
