Registration and Credit Policy
SEE LIST OF PROGRAMS OR TRIPS IN THE LINKS COLUMN OF THE PARKS & RECREATION'S WEBPAGE. FORMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR MOST PROGRAMS. TRIP FORMS MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE OFFICE. Registration takes place at the Recreation Office unless noted otherwise. Phone registrations must be paid within five days of receiving a registration form. Unpaid registrations will be released to waiting list. Our office maintains a no refund policy. Refunds are given for canceled programs due to lack of enrollment. Credits or make up dates are given for canceled classes & trips due to inclement weather, based on the discretion of the instructor or director. Credit also given for medical reasons. An administration fee of $10.00 per registration will be deducted from all refunds. Refunds or credit are not given for unattended classes. Programs, trips or events are subject to change due to unforseen circumstances or changes in pricing beyond our control.The Parks & Recreation Dept reserves the right to close off registration when maximum numbers have been reached for programs or to cancel a program due to low enrollment. Photos may be taken at any event or program, and become the property of the Parks & Recreation Department, and may be used for promotional purposes such as brochures, flyers, ads or published in local news publications. If you would prefer not to have your photo taken/used please inform us at the time of registration. We do our best to ensure the accuracy of the information in this brochure. We reserve the right to change or adjust information in this brochure, in regards to its programs, dates, fees etc. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause, and for any misprints that may exist in this brochure.
Please note: Payment may be made by personal check, money order, credit card or cash. Please see info below concerning credit card payment. Receipts are issued for payments, and will be sent to you if registration was handled by mail. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Brooklyn Parks & Recreation.
Starting July 2015:
You can now pay by credit/debit card in the Recreation Office through Point and Pay. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover cards. There will be a charge of 2.50%, with a minimum fee of $2.00 on the amount charged, payable by the taxpayer at the time of the charge. This service fee is paid directly to Point and Pay Services, and is not charged by the Town of Brooklyn.
There are times when pricing, schedules and venues may need to be changed and are beyond the control of the Brooklyn Recreation Department. We reserve the right to make changes as needed. Brooklyn Recreation is not held responsible for typographical errors in this website or any of our publications or ads. Always verify information directly with a member of the Brooklyn Parks & Recreation office staff.
