Per Governor Lamont's Executive Order to allow voters to vote by Absentee ballot for the August 11, 2020 Primary, an Absentee Ballot application will be mailed to all eligible Active voters by the end of June. Because this is a Primary, eligible voters means all Active Republican and Democratic registered voters. The polls will still be open on Primary day and you can vote in-person if you so choose. If you wish to vote by Absentee, please fill out the application you receive in the mail and return it to the Town Clerk's office. A pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope will be included with your application. Once the Town Clerk's office receives your application, you will be mailed a ballot. For your convenience, there will be a dropbox outside of the Town Hall on Wolf Den Road that will be designated for Absentee applications and ballots only. You may also mail your ballot to our office and a pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope will be included when you receive your ballot. As the Town Hall is still closed to the public at this time, we will not be issuing or accepting any ballots in-person. Once we re-open to the public, we are asking that if you can mail or drop your application/ballot, please continue to do so to alleviate excessive traffic in the building.
If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to the Town Clerk's office at 860-779-3411 Option 4. You may also email the Town Clerk, Kate Bisson, at [email protected] or the Assistant Town Clerk, Kelsey McConnell, at [email protected].
We are asking for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new process. Thank you.
