Economic DevelopmentThe Brooklyn Town Clerk’s Office conducts a wide range of services. On a daily basis, this office records land records, vital records and licenses. The most important responsibility of the Town Clerk’s office is the keeper of the Town’s records.

The first place any document is recorded is in the land records in the Town Clerk’s office. This information is forwarded to the Assessor so the taxes can be assessed properly and then the Tax Collector can bill the correct amount.
