Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission

Mission
The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency of the Town of Brooklyn was established in accordance with an ordinance adopted in February 28, 1974, and shall implement the purposes and provisions of these regulations and the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act in the Town. The Agency shall enforce the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act and shall issue, with terms, conditions, limitations or modifications, or deny permits for all regulated activities in the Town of Brooklyn pursuant to sections 22a-36 to 22a-45, inclusive, of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended.

The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of every month.

Wetlands Enforcement Officer Margaret Washburn enforces the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations on behalf of the Agency.
