Highway Department

We are located at 95 Rukstela Road which is just past the landfill gate.  We have 6 employees including the Road Foreman.  We maintain approximately 70 miles of roads plus other town owned areas.  It keeps our small crew very busy.  Our phone is 860-779-3411, ext. 3, fax: 860-779-0806, and e-mail brooklynpw@hotmail.com.    Most times it is easier to contact us by fax or e-mail as the office is open on a limited basis.

Spring cleaning was a busy time with sweeping sand off the roads from our late winter weather we had starting in February.  We have been clearing debris, trimming trees and repairing storm damage.  Summer paving, mowing and trimming the sides of the roads, and other miscellaneous work are ongoing.
