The Fire Marshal’s office is an integral part of the Ct. Fire and Life Safety program, educating the public on all aspects of fire and life safety.

To ensure public safety the Fire Marshal’s office is also required by state statue to conduct inspection’s annually of all building and apartment covered under the CT. State fire code chapter 541. We also do plan reviews for all commercial building’s, hazardous cargo tank inspections, issue blasting and burning permits and handle complaints from the public at large.

The Fire Marshal’s office also investigates ALL fires for the origin and cause. These include structure fires woods/grass fires, vehicle fires and fatal fires to name a few.

Also the Fire Marshal is required by state statue to maintain 90 hours of continuing educational hours to maintain their certification.
